POLICIES

We do not inspect or measure goods prior to processing unless requested. We visually evaluate fabrics prior to processing to estimate how they will respond to treatment. This estimation is not a guarantee that a fabric will respond well. There are many unconventional fibers used in the manufacturing of textiles that can cause some fabrics to have unexpected reactions to treatment. Some fabrics with certain fiber contents do not respond to our standard flame retardant, stain protection and water resistant chemicals. In these cases, with your permission, we use alternate chemicals that may contain salts and have not been sent to a lab for VOC testing. Clearly mark the face of your fabric, or send a swatch with the face clearly marked. Unless otherwise specified, we process fabric under the assumption that the face of the fabric is rolled in.

Inspect goods carefully upon receipt. Claims must be made in writing within 90 days of receipt of the fabric. We do not accept responsibility for dye performance or fabric manufacturing defects in fabrics received. We disclaim any warranties of merchantability or suitability for a particular purpose or consequential damages. We reserve the right to inspect and reprocess any goods deemed unacceptable by the customer. Returns for reprocessing cannot be considered after material has been cut or fabricated in any way. Claims shall be considered only for fabrics damaged by improper processing and shall be limited to the wholesale price of fabric.

No claim will be honored for fabric costs in excess of $10 per yard unless excess value is declared and process insurance is requested. Allow 3-5% extra fabric due to shrinkage and work loss: 1 yard minimum for laminations/backings and 1/2 yard minimum for all other treatments. SBI Flame Retardant Certificates are mailed with the invoice for fabrics processed with flame retardant. We test every fabric before issuing a certificate. In most cases, there is no additional charge for this service. If independent laboratory testing is required, an extra charge will apply.

Payment terms are net 30 days to approved accounts. Accounts past due may be placed on “stop shipment/credit hold” until all outstanding balances are paid, at which time the account may be placed on COD status until good credit can be reestablished. Fabrics held for more than 30 days are subject to storage charges of at least 15¢ per yard per month. Unclaimed fabrics held for more than one year will be sold or discarded. Multiple fabrics rolled on one tube are subject to a rerolling charge of $10 per piece.

Individual shipments are insured for a maximum of $500 per package unless additional insurance is requested on the purchase order. We require a packaging charge of $15.00 for each UPS & FedEx Express package, plus an additional fuel surcharge and pick up charge for FedEx Ground. Additional charges apply for international and truck shipments.

Unresolved issues such as improperly marked packages, face not marked, no PO, holds for testing, sample approval, etc. may delay your order.

Installation Note: Care must always be taken with wet adhesives. Over application of adhesive, or installing fabric before the adhesive has developed proper tack can lead to adhesive strike through on some fabrics. Have your installer determine the suitability of the fabric and finish before applying fabric to the wall.
