03 Aug Combinations of Fabric Finishes/Backings
If you have worked with us before, you might know that most of our finishes and backings can be combined. This “a la cart” offering differentiates us from many other finishing operations, and allows you to customize our finishes/backings to best suit your needs.
For example, below is a list of the most common combinations, grouped into Residential, Outdoor and Commercial applications. Hopefully this list provides inspiration for your next project, or at least sparks ideas around providing the ultimate protection for your fabrics!
RESIDENTIAL
Have small children, grandchildren, or entertain often?
Defend-All™ Stain Protection and Reinforce™ Knit Backing
Have pets that enjoy your furniture?
Defend-All™ Stain Protection, Reinforce™ Knit Backing, and Reinforce™ Acrylic Backing
Have light-colored curtains or drapes that receive full sun?
Defend-All™ Stain Protection and Defend-All™ Ultraviolet Inhibitor
OUTDOORS
Using fabrics in outdoor applications*?
Defend-All™ Stain Protection, Defend-All™ Antimicrobial, and Reinforce™ Acrylic Backing
*These treatments will highly improve your fabric’s performance. Please note, however, that even with treatment, an indoor fabric cannot perform identically to an outdoor fabric. We would recommend that the fabric (pillows, cushions, etc…) be covered or stored during inclement weather.
Live near the ocean, have a lake house, or a sunroom?
Combine three finishes from the Defend-All™ Series: Ultraviolet Inhibitor, Antimicrobial, and Stain Protection
COMMERCIAL
Want the ultimate health and hygiene protection for your upholstery fabric?
Defend-All Health™ and Defend-All™ Flame Retardant (commonly specified for hospitality, health care, and senior living environments)
Installing banquettes or seating in a restaurant?
Defend-All™ Flame & Stain Protection and Reinforce™ Knit Backing
We hope this list illuminates the possibilities of how we can combine services to meet your needs! Do you have another fabric “scenario” in mind? We would be happy to advise what is normally specified and recommended given your specific situation.
Did you know we also offer fabric inspections and testing for our clients prior to treatment? We perform a very thorough examination of your fabric, record any significant flaws, and determine its general condition. You will receive a detailed report along with guidance and recommended next steps from our expert staff.
If you have a project in mind, are interested in a fabric inspection or have additional questions, simply email our team at info@sbifinishing.com or call us at 903-675-1440! To place an order, you can email orders@sbifinishing.com or submit an order online by clicking here.
